The functionality of the room worked great, but the colors and styling were in need of an update. The old steel tub and tile surround were removed and replaced with a cast iron tub topped with an elegant 12”x24” watercolor porcelain field tile and a 6” chevron mosaic. We fabricated a custom shower niche and finished off the shower with a new tub/shower valve and a 36” grab bar in an oil rubbed bronze finish. No more showering in the dark thanks to an LED light added overhead.
Our customer chose a weathered grey waterproof LVP floor that is a great accent to the room, along with its ability to withstand spills from the bath, laundry, and her pets. The pony wall separating the laundry and toilet was removed for less clutter, and a new comfort height toilet was installed. The vanity was dressed up with the 6” chevron mosaic and a new two handle lav faucet in oil rubbed bronze. Finally, fresh paint helped breathe new life into this room.
