With a baseboard heater and dated wallpaper, this bathroom was welcoming a remodel. The recessed portion of the tub wall was reframed to allow for two large custom niches. A new white cast iron tub with a brushed nickel tub/shower valve was installed. A 12"x12" sail white ceramic tile was used from tub to ceiling with a baja mosaic blend for the niches and deco stripe. A shower light and grab bar were also added. A 60" light oak vanity with full overlay doors and soft close hinges and drawer slides was chosen. The granite counter top was trimmed with the baja mosaic tile and an undermount rectangular sink with a brushed nickel faucet. Plumbing and electrical were moved inside the wall to accommodate recessing the medicine cabinet. Two wall sconces were added in addition to a new vanity light. The room was finished with a caramel 16"x16" LVT floor. Since basements can be chilly, a 1,000 watt in-wall electric heater was chosen to keep the room temp comfortable.
