Bigelow Bath
$25,000 - 30,000
Our customer's bathroom layout worked well for them, but with years of use and water damage around the tub, they were ready for a brand new update. While our tests for lead paint were negative, the existing floor did test positive for asbestos. We had a certified abatement company handle the removal and disposal of the floor. With a clean bill of health, a new biscuit cast iron tub and brushed nickel tub and shower valve were installed. The tub walls and ceiling were set with a 13"x13" beige ceramic tile and a brick silverscreen mosaic for ultimate durability. Two grab bars were installed to assist the homeowner as well as a shower niche and plenty of shelves for storage. A stunning alder vanity was constructed with ½" plywood boxes and soft close hinges and drawer slides. A solid surface counter with twin bisque lavs and single handle faucets were utilized. The backsplash matched the tub mosaic adding complementary colors to the space. A 16"x16" LVT was used for the floor, and a new comfort height toilet installed with a grab bar for added assistance.
